The Abandoned Realtime Experience App has finally gone live and it contains one extremely short trailer and a bunch of “coming soon” tabs. After multiple delays and months of confusion about who is actually making Abandoned–or what Abandoned even is–the app contains zero information about the game.

The app, which renders the trailers in real-time, contains four spots for trailers and two spots for gameplay demonstrations. Only the initial trailer box labeled “Introduction” actually contains anything and it features a few seconds of a person walking across a floor before saying “trailer coming soon” and “Playable prologue coming soon.”

The app also has a tab for news and announcements which features a single message.

“We are excited to kick off the realtime experience app with a small introduction. The cinematic reveal and gameplay demonstration will be revealed soon! You can find the cinematic reveal and gameplay demo as a video online or rendered in realtime using this app.”

Batman is entering the world of Fortnite for the limited comic series Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point, and issue #1 arrives today Come from malaysia online casino . Of course, Batman entering the battle royale island which is about to be overtaken by a massive, murderous storm means one thing: Batman will die. A lot.

Writer Christos Gage–who worked with Epic CCO Donald Mustard on the story–and artist Reilly Brown are creating this six-issue series that mashes these two worlds together. Because of this, we’re going to see something happen a lot: Batman’s death. But how many times will the Caped Crusader die during this event?

“I have not actually counted it up but I mean [doesn’t] everyone die when the storm covers the entire island?” Gage told the media during a DC Comics press event.

Because everything on the island resets every 22 minutes, including memories, that’s going to be a pretty tricky situation for Batman to get out of. “He dies every 22 minutes, so yeah it’s [all] how long he’s in there,” explained Brown. “And while I was drawing it, if you pay attention to his …

Video games are packed with mercenaries. The term encompasses heroes and villains, fortune-seekers and power-mongers, faceless grunts and stars of the show. Whether you’re encasing enemies in black crystalline deathtraps or vaporizing them with a pulse from your protective shield, it’s a lot of fun to team up with friends and take on the challenges of Fuse. Regardless of what mode you play, “with friends” is definitely how this slick near-future shooter thrives, delivering a solid team-based experience with just enough style and substance to keep you entertained.

The original Bit.Trip Runner was a simply named, retro-styled rhythm platforming game that deftly intertwined music and gameplay Come from Sports betting site VPbet . The sequel, Bit.Trip Presents…Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, is more elaborately named and more visually lush, but its immense appeal is once again fueled by the elegant marriage of music and gameplay. As you leap and slide your way past obstacles as the perpetually sprinting protagonist, your actions trigger beats and chimes that enrich the burgeoning musical track. This creates a connection between you and the game that builds and builds, leading to an experience that is joyful, rewarding, and as challenging as you want it to be.

Military skirmishes are never two-dimensional affairs. There is always a lot of politics involved, of course, but on a more primal level, there are concerns like unit formation and attack direction to command your attention–elements that most real-time strategy games try to emulate in one way or another when they depict war. Swords & Soldiers II does away with most of that unit management, boiling the RTS formula down to some of its barest essentials and leaving you with a deceptively simple side-scrolling strategy game. Imagine Age of Empires, flatten it against a cave wall, cut the time of most matches down to 10 minutes or less, and sprinkle in an array of character names that double as puns.

Every battle in Swords & Soldiers II is a duel between two armies–one on the left side of the map and one on the right. Whenever you send out a combat unit from your base (whether it’s a slow but strong melee unit, an agile ranged unit, or something else entirely), that unit travels in a straight line toward the enemy’s base until it encounters resistance. With rare exceptions, you have no real control over a unit’s movement–most of the game’s con…

As Nvidia’s stock price continues to soar, the company has now overtaken Microsoft to become the No. 1 most valuable company on Earth in terms of market capitalization.

Nvidia’s $3.33 trillion in market cap is just ahead of Microsoft ($3.32 trillion) and Apple ($3.27 trillion). Google parent company Alphabet ($2.169 trillion) and Amazon ($1.90 trillion) round out the top five.

Earlier in June, Nvidia conducted a 10:1 stock split that reduced the price per share, thus making shares more affordable. Nvidia’s stock price is sitting at around $135 as of this writing.

The February 2022 Nintendo Direct concluded with the reveal of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The game follows the Switch-exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and it won’t be too long before we can play it. A new trailer for the upcoming JRPG showcased the game’s characters and teased its plot, concluding with the reveal that the game is set to launch in September 2022.

As seen in the trailer, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 features a brand-new cast of characters. The game utilizes a similar visual style to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, though noticeably less horny in the character department. The narrative tone also seems to be a bit darker than its predecessor.

We’re just days away from the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the hotly anticipated Nintendo Switch exclusive RPG that was officially revealed earlier this year. In Sweden and the Spelinspektionen gaming regulator has announced that the Administrative Court of Stockholm has rejected appeals from a pair of licensees that were earlier hit with individual fines worth approximately $1.5 million.

The watchdog used an official Friday press release to detail that NGG Nordic Limited and SkillOnNet Limited were penalized in June of 2019 after it adjudged they had both contravened the nation’s rules on the provision of bonus offers. The regulator also explained that the Malta-based iGaming operators subsequently appealed these punishments over almost identical contentions that it had relied on an incorrect interpretation of the Gaming Act when issuing the fines.

Outlawed offerings:

The Spelinspektionen declared that NGG Nordic Limited was penalized after an ‘overall assessment of all relevant circumstances’ determined that the operator had offered ‘surprises every week’ alongside ‘raffle cash prizes, travel and free spins, bonuses, rewards and free games for loyal players’ as part of its promotions. The regulator stated that these inducements had constituted ‘financial incentives…

Why Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Are Sparking Engagement Rumors

Does Selena Gomez just have her love on, or is she wearing something more?

The 32-year-old is sparking engagement rumors with her boyfriend Benny Blanco thanks to some strategically placed emojis.

Posting a mirror selfie to her Instagram Stories on Aug. 8, the “Love On” singer sported a champagne-colored slip dress, covering her hand with heart emojis as her producer beau stood in the background.

Gomez also shared a photo dump of PDA-packed pics with her man by the beach. Notably, the Only Murders in the Building star was not rocking any rings in the roundup, though it was clear she couldn’t keep her hands to herself.

The music producer has made it clear that marriage is his end goal when it comes to his future with Gomez. After Howard Stern said, “I’m predicting marriage” of the pair’s romance during a May interview on The Howard Stern Show, Blanco candidly replied, “You and me both.”

Update: In a statement to PCG, Larian says that the problem players are running into with the shared stash system is “not the intended behavior and will be fixed in an upcoming update.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 is excellent. Historically excellent, in fact, but it’s not without its flaws. The first of these, of course, is that Astarion was not voiced with Neil Newbon’s original Brummie accent, but the game’s awkward inventory system is a close-run second. I don’t know about you, but I probably spent at least a couple of hours of playtime standing stock-still in camp, desperately trying to give my chaotic inventory and those of my allies some semblance of organisation. It never worked.

The third patch for the game tried to ameliorate that a bit, implementing a new “Shared Stash” system that took important quest items away from party members when you dismissed them and placed them in your inventory. It’s not much, but it does mean you don’t lose track of your severed clown torso because you happened to dismiss the party member carrying it without thinking. But there’s a problem.

As spotted by GamesRadar, the system seems to be affecti…

French esports club Team Vitality has announced that its star Counter-Strike player Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who helped the team win the last-ever CS:GO Major, has re-signed to stay with the Parisians until 2026. And boy is Vitality excited about the news.

The outfit decided that only one thing would do for this announcement. Zywoo is French and the king of the AWP-ers, Vitality is a French esports organisation, and arguably the team’s finest moment was winning the Paris Major last May.

Vitality therefore announced the player’s new contract by making him sit on a golden throne made out of Counter-Strike guns, with the Eiffel tower as a backdrop.

Vitality later posted a tribute video to the player:

The team later posted some close-up shots of the throne itself. The AWP appropriately enough is the throne’s highest point, while Zywoo also appears to have been granted a crown made of bullets. I’m not sure what the golden skulls are all about. The whole thing looks like someone’s 3D printed a bunch of gun models and spray painted it gold, but hey: do you have a golden throne made of Counter-Strike guns? Thought not.

The traditional view has always been that games consoles were a useful but relatively petite contribution to AMD’s overall revenues. Turns out that’s not entirely true. In fact, Sony’s PS5 alone represented fully 16% of AMD’s revenues in 2022 and likely a quarter of revenues came from Sony and Microsoft consoles combined.

That’s according to an official AMD filing (via Tom’s Hardware). “One customer accounted for 16% of our consolidated net revenue for the year ended December 31, 2022. Sales to this customer consisted of sales of products from our Gaming segment,” the filing revealed.

That customer can only really be Sony and the PS5, which comfortably outsells the Xbox Series consoles. Of course, AMD wasn’t just responsible for the PS5’s APU, it also created the chips for both Microsoft’s Series X and S consoles.

Estimates of overall volumes to date for both consoles put Sony’s PS5 roughly in the 30 million to 32 million range, with the MS Series consoles on a little over 20 million.

AMD hasn’t detailed revenues specifically for Microsoft consoles, but based on those numbers, if 30 odd million console chips is 16% of AMD’s business, another 20 odd …

Only five days post-launch, Palworld has sold over seven million copies and become the second game ever to log over two million concurrent players on Steam. Its unexpectedly absurd level of success has led to much speculation over the source of its appeal—as well as some condemnation—but the notion that it’s “Pokémon with guns,” while not exactly accurate, must be at least part of the answer.

Finding someone to design Palworld’s firearms was apparently a challenge for Japanese developer Pocketpair, though.

“Japan makes a ridiculous amount of RPGs,” said Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe in a lengthy blog post last week (translated from Japanese). “But how many Japanese-made shooters are there? The only one that comes to mind is Resident Evil, and that didn’t have guns as the main focus. I decided that Palworld would be a shooter at the very beginning of the project because those are the most popular games globally.”

There are other Japanese-developed shooters out there—you could count Splatoon and the Earth Defense Force games, for example—but it’s certainly not the most popular genre to develop in Japan, and Mizobe said it wasn…

Hideo Kojima recently gave an interview to the magazine Weekly Tokyo Keizai, in which he talked a little about the run-up to the release of Metal Gear Solid 2 and how real-world events almost scuppered the game’s release. At the time MGS2 was probably the most anticipated game in the world, and was due to release in November 2001. Then two months before the game’s release, the September 11 terrorist attacks happened, killing just under 3,000 people and changing the course of the world.

MGS2, which featured terrorist factions attacking New York, was suddenly a project with very bad timing indeed. Kojima and Konami went into crisis mode, with Sony also involved, realising that it simply could not release the game as-was in this context. Particular scenes, such as Arsenal Gear crashing into Manhattan and collapsing various buildings, were now unthinkable (the bookends of this scene survive, but what happens in-between is left to the player’s imagination).

“The depiction of [the] game’s themes and its numerous similarities with the real-world events on September 11 rendered it unfit for release at the time,” said Kojima (thanks, GR+). “After consulting with …

The original PlayStation 5 is getting on a bit these days. First launched back in November 2020, the console set tongues a-wagging with its reasonably impressive spec sheet, including a fast SSD, a custom eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU, and an RDNA 2 GPU that brought it up to greater performance parity with gaming PCs of the time.

While this latest leak for the upcoming PS5 Pro doesn’t go into those sort of hardware specifics—although we have summarised rumoured hardware specifications previously—it does reveal some potential performance numbers and upscaling features that might give us more of a clue as to what Sony has been cooking up behind the scenes for the new model.

This latest information comes from YouTube channel Moore’s Law is Dead, which has traditionally been a bit hit-and-miss when it comes to the accuracy of leaked information. Still, in a recent video the channel reveals “leaked documentation from within Sony” that supposedly reveals the existence of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), Sony’s own in-house upscaling solution for the PS5 Pro.

The upscaler is described as a machine learning-enhanced version of a Temporal Anti …

Overwatch 2 has had some trouble in the past year-and-a-bit since its release—between promised PvE content being absent, an outright admission that the game has been in decline, and a ‘colourful’ reception on Steam, the game’s freemium model has been a point of contention—especially for players who bought Overwatch 1 fully-priced.

A recent controversy has made that sentiment worse, with players responding to the bitter fact that they wouldn’t be able to earn every cosmetic in the Winter Fair event even if they went for the premium option—things worsened after executive producer Jared Neuss responded to a player in a post on X, where he wrote: “It’s $5 for 4 Legendary skins”—though some of them are recolours of past skins—”which feels squarely in the spirit of the Holidays to me.”

The event (which went live yesterday) gives you tickets for every nine games you play (though wins count as two towards that number). The issue lies in how those tickets are distributed and their weekly cap—which isn’t enough to get you everything tickets can buy. Unless you shell out for the shop bundle, of course, which—aw man, wait a minute. That’…

French indie studio Evil Empire, which has spent the last five years working on expansions for roguelike sensation Dead Cells, prides itself on being a “triple I” developer: independent, but still big enough to make “world-class” games. “I’m going to do something ridiculous every day until [x videogame thing happens]” might be a little pat now—hell, there’s probably a sociological paper to be written about gamers performing devotion for companies as if they were implacable deities.

But JPNB on YouTube was a pioneer of the form, fighting secret Elden Ring megaboss Malenia every week (initially every day) over a span of months until we finally got that Shadow of the Erdtree announcement last February. He hung up his spurs after that, but now he’s back once more to tango with the Blade of Miquella.

Watch On

During his original run, JPNB started out trying to fight Malenia every day until we got news of an Elden Ring expansion. As the wait dragged on, that quickly became “every few days” before he settled into a sustainable pace of fighting her once a week with a new, fun, themed build each time. With 11 days to go until the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, JPNB committed to a Malenia sprint as one last hurrah: beating her each day without getting hit and using a fresh idiosyncratic build each time.

I think my favorite so far was his “Arcane Archer,” a riff on one of …

Unity’s found itself under fire from the public these past few months—and for decent reasons. In June, for instance, it announced that it would incorporate AI programs into its developer tools, something it didn’t really elaborate well enough on to soothe artists and developer fears alike.

Unsurprisingly, it then had to drop one of its AI partners after it was found to have just been pulling models wholescale from SketchFab, like this cat from Murdered Soul Suspect. Then there was the whole pricing fee fiasco, which is pretty much still ongoing, with revelations that it was a rushed-out decision in October amidst its CEO’s resignation. Trust in Unity has eroded, which makes any calls of ‘we’re doing the right thing here, we promise’ a hard sell.

Now, in an interview with gamesindustry.biz, Unity Create general manager Marc Whitten wants you to know that its AI tools are all above-board and squeaky clean. In August 2022, Embracer Group added Middle-earth Enterprises to its ever-growing lineup of studios and properties. And it’s not wasting any time doing something with it: Embracer revealed in its Q3 2022 financial report that it now has no less than five LotR games in development.

“There are currently five games in production by external partners, to be released in financial year 2023/24,” the report states. “There is also one film in production by an external partner.”

Embracer’s 2023/24 fiscal year runs from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, meaning that, if the schedule holds, all five games will be out within little more than a year.
